Sheri Poznanovic, MD, FACS, FAAP is triple board certified in Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Obesity Medicine. She is also a retired board-certified ENT surgeon.
After greater than 15 years as a practicing pediatric ENT surgeon in Colorado, Dr. Poznanovic’s career focus has shifted to lifestyle, wellness, and nutrition counseling. Since retiring from the OR, she has received her Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance, as well as 3 new board certifications.
Prior to medical school, she graduated from the University of Denver with a BS in Biology and the University of Colorado with a MA in Biology. She completed medical school and Otolaryngology residency training at the University of Colorado. She further advanced her degree finishing a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Lurie Children’s Hospital/ Northwestern University in Chicago. She is also trained in medical acupuncture and wellness coaching.
Dr. Poznanovic is a member of a multitude of medical societies including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Society of Nutrition, Obesity Medicine Association, Institute of Functional Medicine, American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the Colorado Medical Society. Dr. Poznanovic is a published author in peer-reviewed journals and received the distinction of 5280 Top Doctors 2012-2019 and Colorado Parent “Best of the Best” 2015-2016. She is committed to assisting with self-guided growth and improvement to achieve whole-body wellness and optimal health.
Dr. Poznanovic is an avid Pilates enthusiast, former runner, and mom to busy teen twins. She is a lover of the outdoors, plant-based cooking, campfires, meditation, fabricating healthy cocktails, and cuddling under blankets. She fully understands the demands of living a busy, full life and the challenges that creates in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and nutritional habits.
